Nebula Omega atau Nebula Angsa atau Nebula Tapal Kuda atau Nebula Lobster [1][2] dikatalogkan sebagai Messier 17 atau M17 atau NGC 6618, adalah sebuah daerah H II di rasi bintang Sagittarius. M17 ditemukan oleh Philippe Loys de Chéseaux pada tahun 1745, dan dimasukkan ke dalam katalog tahun 1764. Terletak di daerah kaya bintang Sagitarrius di galaksi Bimasakti.

Nebula Omega berjarak kurang lebih 5,000 sampai 6,000 tahun cahaya dari bumi dengan diameter sekitar 15 tahun cahaya. Nebula ini merupakan bagian dari awan antar bintang dengan diameter sekitar 40 tahun cahaya. Total massa Nebula Omega diperkirakan sekitar 800 kali massa matahari.[3]
