ISO 233
Cet article est une ébauche concernant la linguistique.
La norme internationale ISO 233 (1984) établit un système de translittération (romanisation) de l’écriture arabe. Impropre à l'indexation dans les catalogues de bibliothèques, elle a été complétée par la norme internationale ISO 233-2 en 1993 établissant une translittération simplifiée de l’arabe. La norme ISO 233-3 publiée en 1999 et sa révision en 2023 établit plutôt un système de translittération simplifiée du persan.
