Codot walet[2](Thoopterus nigrescens) adalah sebuah spesies kelelawar besar dalam famili Pteropodidae.[3]

Deskripsi

Panjang gabungan kepala-tubuhnya adalah 94–109 mm (3,7–4,3 in), dengan lengan depan sepanjang 70–82 mm (2,8–3,2 in). Bobotnya sekitar 67–99 g (2,4–3,5 oz). Codot ini memiliki bulu cokelat kekelabuan.[4]

Sebaran dan habitat

Codot cepat merupakan hewan endemik Indonesia dan dapat ditemukan di pulau-pulau berikut: Sulawesi, Buton, Mangole, Wawonii, Kepulauan Talaud dan Sangihe, serta kemungkinan juga di Morotai. Hewan ini ditemukan di ketinggian antara 0–2.400 m (0–7.874 ft) di atas permukaan laut. Tampaknya hewan ini menyukai tinggal di hutan utuh, namun juga akan tinggal di hutan-hutan terganggu
