2025 Angeles City local elections
The local elections in Angeles City to be held on May 12, 2025, is an upcoming election in conjunction with the 2025 Philippine midterm elections. Registered voters of the city will be electing candidates for the following elective local posts: city mayor, city vice mayor, and ten councilors. There are 205,822 eligible voters in the city as of the last election in 2022 general election. BackgroundIncumbent mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. will complete his three consecutive terms but will run for Pampanga's First Congressional District in the House of Representatives.[1] Meanwhile his half-brother the incumbent First District Representative Carmelo Lazatin II has filed his candidacy to the mayoralty of Angeles City under Lakas–CMD, with the potential to replace his older brother.[2] Lazatin II will be running with Vicky Vega both will be challenge by former Philippine National Police Chief Oscar Albayalde running under the People's Reform Party with Amos Rivera as his running mate, both Lazatin and Albayalde were nominated by Lakas-CMD and PRP.
