Apache Samza는 아파치 소프트웨어 재단이 스칼라와 자바로 개발한 오픈 소스, 근실시간, 비동기식 스트림 프로세싱 프레임워크이다. 이 프레임워크는 아파치 카프카와 연동하여 개발되었다. 두 프로젝트 모두 원래 링크드인에서 개발하였다.[2]

개요

Samza를 사용하면 아파치 카프카를 포함한 여러 소스로부터 데이터를 실시간으로 처리하는 상태 유지 애플리케이션을 구축할 수 있다.

Samza는 내결함성, 격리, 상태 유지 처리를 제공한다. 아파치 하둡이나 아파치 스파크와 같은 배치 시스템과 달리, Samza는 지속적인 계산과 출력을 제공하며, 이로 인해 1초 미만[3]의 응답 시간을 보인다.

실시간 스트림 프로세싱 분야에는 많은 경쟁자가 있으며, Samza는 그중 성숙한 제품에 속한다.[4][5][6] 2013년에 아파치 프로젝트에 추가되었다.[7]

Samza는 여러 기업에서 사용되고 있다.[8] 가장 큰 규모의 설치 사례는 링크드인에 있다.
