Faktor komplemen B (bahasa Inggris: complement factor B, C3/C5 convertase, Properdin factor B, Glycine-rich beta glycoprotein, GBG, PBF2) adalah sebuah glikoprotein yang dikodikasi pada gen CFB[3] atau BF atau BFD.[4]

GBG merupakan komponen dari lintasan kekebalan alternatif yang beredar di dalam sirkulasi darah dalam bentuk polipeptida rantai tunggal dengan massa 93 kDa. Saat lintasan alternatif teraktivasi, GBG diiris oleh faktor D menjadi fragmen Ba yang bersifat non-katalitik dan fragmen Bb yang bersifat katalitik.

Fragmen Bb merupakan serina protease yang membentuk kompleks protein dengan C3b menjadi C3 konvertase yang mempunyai rumus kimia C3bBb, atau membentuk C5 konvertase yang terdiri dari dua protein C3b dan satu fragmen Bb dengan rumus kimia C3Bb3b, dan berperan dalam aktivasi dan proliferasi sel B, migrasi monosit, stimulasi blastogenesis limfosit dan lisis sel darah merah.

Fragmen Ba merupakan inhibitor proliferasi sel B, tetapi membentuk molekul MHC kelas III dengan aktivasi gennya pada kromosom 6. Kluster ini juga mengandung beberapa gen yang berperan dalam regulasi respon kekebalan.[3]
