Lycaon adalah sebuah genus canid yang mencakup iganyana (Lycaon pictus) spesies punah iganyana plio-pleistosen dan Lycaon magnus.

Anggota genus ini adalah hiperkarnivor yang sangat kursorial, dan dapat dicirikan dengan puncak gigi aksesori pada premolarnya. Genus ini bercabang dari garis keturunan canid mirip-serigala selama kala Pliosen hingga Pleistosen. Sejak saat itu, Lycaon menjadi hewan yang lebih ringan dan tetradaktil, tetapi tetap menjadi hewan hiperkarnivor. L. sekowei diketahui dari kala Plesitosen awal di Afrika selatan dan lebih tidak kursorial.[1]
