Inchgower er et skotsk whisky-destilleri, der producerer en single malt med samme navn, beliggende i udkanten af Buckie, Moray, Skotland.[1]

Historie

Destilleriet blev opført i 1871[1] som erstatning for Tochineal Distillery, men blev likvideret i 1903.

Buckie Council købte foretagendet i 1936, og ejerskabet blev overdraget til Arthur Bell & Sons Ltd i 1938. Bell’s-logoet anvendes fortsat i markedsføringen af Inchgower.[2]

I 1985 blev Arthur Bell & Sons overtaget af Guinness, som i 1987 blev fusioneret med United Distillers and Vintners.[3]

I 1997 fusionerede Guinness PLC og Grand Metropolitan og dannede Diageo.[4]

Destillaterne fra Inchgower indgår i Bell’s blended whisky.[1]

Inchgower klassificeres som en Lower Speyside Malt[1] og henter sit vand fra et vandløb, der udspringer i Menduff Hills syd for Buckie.[2]
